Sofia currently works full time in the 3-5 room (Platypus Room) and has completed a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care.
MY PHILOSOPHY

my practice.
I believe that every child should have access to a safe, secure and engaging learning environment where they are supported to learn, grow and develop with the guidance of educators. I believe every child should be treated with respect and dignity and recognised as an individual with their own interests, strengths and abilities.
I believe children learn best through play and hands-on learning experiences that allow them to explore, use their imagination, be creative and develop new skills. As an educator, I believe it is important to provide a variety of learning experiences and environments that encourage children to participate and be actively involved in their own learning.
I believe that when children enter care, they should feel safe, secure and supported. Educators play an important role in developing positive and secure relationships with children, allowing them to feel comfortable and confident within their environment. When children feel safe and have trusting relationships with their educators, they are more confident to explore, participate in experiences and continue to develop and learn.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW
A place to belong.
What I love about Lakeview is that it has a warm and homely environment where educators, children and families all feel welcomed and supported. Since working at Lakeview, I have had the opportunity to work alongside many amazing educators who have made a positive difference in my life personally and have supported me to grow as an educator. I really value seeing the care, respect and kindness they show towards every child and how they take the time to build meaningful and trusting relationships with them. The educators at Lakeview create an environment where children feel safe, supported and valued, which is something I really admire and love about working at Lakeview.
