We understand how important familiar routines can be during the first years of life. Wherever possible, we work closely with families to maintain consistency between home and Lakeview.
Sleep, feeding, comfort and care routines are approached thoughtfully and individually, with educators responding to each child rather than expecting every child to follow the same timetable.
WHAT FAMILIES BRING
Familiar comforts
from home.
Families can bring comfort items their child uses during the day or for sleep, along with formula or expressed breast milk and bottles where required.
Lakeview provides linen, nappies and wipes.
SAFE SLEEP & REST
Safe sleep,
carefully supported.
Our Koala Room includes a dedicated cot room where each child’s individual sleep and rest needs are carefully supported in partnership with families.
Educators working with our youngest children complete Red Nose safe sleep training and follow recommended safe sleep practices, alongside Lakeview’s Sleep and Rest Policy, regular monitoring and clear procedures.
The cot room provides a calm and comfortable environment for rest while supporting safe supervision throughout each child’s sleep.

Our youngest children enjoy thoughtfully created indoor spaces as well as their own dedicated Koala outdoor yard, giving babies and toddlers the freedom to explore in an environment designed especially for their stage of development.
Outdoor experiences encourage movement, sensory discovery, connection with nature and growing physical confidence, with spaces and experiences that can change in response to the children’s interests.
