Coomaditchie

Today Sharon and Rachel visited Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation to thank them in person for allowing us to use their Dream Time stories ‘Guma’maari and the Rainbow’, and ‘Gurangaty’ for our past Graduation plays. We discussed what Dream time story we might use in this years graduation play. So far ‘The Story of the Five Islands’ is winning with the children.

We presented them with a gift box filled with children’s artwork, flowers, chocolates and a copy of past graduation plays.

We also spoke to them about how we can continue to build on our relationship with their association, perhaps through visits or having them look at our Reconciliation Action Plan. We look forward to further strengthening our knowledge and improving on how we embed Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander perspectives into the centre.
