Nominated Supervisor/ Diploma Educator
Sarah is the Nominated Supervisor and is currently working full time in the office and helps out in the rooms when needed. She has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and has been working at the centre for over 8 years.
MY PHILOSOPHY

my practice.
I believe play is one of the most important ways children learn and make sense of the world around them. Through play, children have opportunities to explore, experiment, make choices, solve problems and express themselves while developing their social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive skills. I believe children should be given the freedom to follow their interests and learn through experiences that are meaningful to them. I aim to create an environment where children feel encouraged to be curious, creative, confident and comfortable to try new things.
When children feel safe, respected and valued, they are more confident to explore, learn and develop. I want to build genuine relationships with each child and take the time to understand their individual personalities, interests, needs and ways of communicating. I believe every child deserves to feel heard and know that their thoughts, feelings and ideas matter.
Becoming a mum has also given me a different perspective as an educator. It has deepened my understanding of how important it is for families to feel that their child is genuinely known, cared for and valued. As a Nominated Supervisor, I value supporting our team and creating a positive environment, but I also love stepping away from my leadership role to share the little everyday moments with children and families. I want every child to feel safe, heard, confident and truly at home at Lakeview.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW
A place to belong.
I love that Lakeview feels like a home away from home for our children, a place where they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely known. I love getting to know our children and families and being involved in the little moments, milestones and achievements along the way. I’m also grateful to be part of such a supportive team, where we look out for one another, share ideas and genuinely work together to provide the best possible experience for our children and families.
