MY PHILOSOPHY

What guides
my practice.

As an early childhood educator with a background in primary teaching, my philosophy is grounded in the belief that the early years lay the foundations for lifelong learning, wellbeing, and success. Inspired by my own experience as a parent, I value children as capable, curious, and active participants in their learning. I am committed to creating nurturing, inclusive environments where children feel safe to explore, question, connect, and take on challenges. I believe meaningful relationships, play, and intentional teaching foster confidence, resilience, and a genuine love of learning. My goal is to empower every child with the skills, curiosity, and self-belief to flourish as they transition into school and beyond.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW

A place to belong.

I love working at Lakeview because it fosters a genuine sense of belonging, purpose, and collaboration. Our shared philosophy recognises children as capable learners, with play as their work and the environment as a powerful third teacher. I value being part of a team where educators are encouraged to grow alongside the children and families we support. Most inspiring is our collective commitment to turning creative ideas into meaningful experiences, creating a place where curiosity, connection, and learning flourish every day.
