MY PHILOSOPHY

What guides
my practice.

I believe children are capable, curious and creative individuals who have the right to be heard, respected and actively involved in their learning. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, I believe children express themselves through many different languages and learn best through secure relationships, play, exploration and meaningful interactions with people, nature and their environment.

I see the environment as the third teacher and value beautiful, homelike spaces that invite curiosity, independence, collaboration and considered risk-taking. As an educator and Educational Leader, my role is to listen, observe, advocate and create opportunities that extend children’s thinking while inspiring educators to reflect upon and strengthen their practice.

I value genuine partnerships with families and want every child, family and educator to feel safe, appreciated and supported. Above all, I aim to remain present, approachable and always available for a chat.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW

A place to belong.

What I love most about Lakeview is feeling genuinely appreciated and trusted to bring my passion and ideas to life. Our supportive management, beautiful homelike environments and motivated, collaborative team create a culture where we continually learn from and inspire one another. Lakeview gives me energy, connection and a creative outlet, whether I am spending meaningful time with children, supporting educators, connecting with families developing ideas to improve our practice. I am proud to belong to a community that feels warm, familiar and full of possibility. Lakeview holds a deeply personal place in my heart because both of my boys attended the service, and I was able to watch them feel secure, build relationships and truly flourish.
