Diploma Educator
Hailey currently works full time in the 2-3 room (Wallaby room). She has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and has worked at the centre for over 4 years.
MY PHILOSOPHY
What guides
my practice.
I believe children are capable, curious and unique individuals who learn best when they feel safe, respected and genuinely connected to the people around them. I believe play, exploration and meaningful relationships give children the freedom to discover, experiment, make choices and develop confidence in their own abilities.
As an educator, my role is to listen, observe, encourage and create opportunities for children to follow their interests and share their ideas.
My philosophy is supported by Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, which views children as active learners who construct their understanding through exploring, experimenting and interacting with their environment. I believe children learn through hands-on experiences and by making connections between what they already know and what they discover. I want to nurture independence while being there to support children when they need guidance and reassurance.
I value strong partnerships with families because they know their children best, and together we can create a sense of belonging. Most importantly, I want every child to feel that they are known, valued and heard, and to leave my care feeling confident, capable and proud of who they are.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW
A place to belong.
What I love most about Lakeview is the genuine sense of belonging. I love coming to work each day knowing that I’m part of a team that truly cares about children, families and each other. There is something special about the relationships we build with our children and families and being able to watch children grow in confidence, independence and a strong sense of who they are. I’m proud to be part of a place where every child is known, valued and celebrated for exactly who they are.
