Emma currently works full time in the 3-5 room (Platypus Room) and has completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Emma has worked at the centre for over 5 years.

my practice.
Throughout my 6 years in childcare something I have always strived to do is building strong connections with the children in my care, I think it is extremely important to help the children feel safe and secure in their environment and to be able to have someone they feel they can rely on to help them grow.
I believe every child learns in their own way and I am there to cater to their needs and provide them with an environment that fosters their learning and imagination.
I have always loved watching children explore their imagination, I feel role play is very important for a child’s development, especially their social skills. This feeds my passion for providing an environment that allows the children to follow the interest of role play/dramatic play.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW
A place to belong.
I am constantly learning more about each child everyday and love being apart of watching them grow. Especially at Lakeview, this centre feels like a second home, it is always warm and welcoming and the educators make me understand what passion and teamwork really mean. I am proud to work at a preschool that truely values doing the best we can for the children in our care.
