MY PHILOSOPHY
What guides
my practice.
As an educator, I draw inspiration from my own experiences as a parent and from the guiding role I have had in supporting and nurturing my own children. These experiences have shaped my belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, respected and supported in their learning environment.
For me, being an educator means creating a warm, nurturing and inclusive space where children feel confident to be themselves, express their ideas and develop a strong sense of belonging. It is about providing a guiding hand while creating meaningful opportunities for children to learn through play, ask questions, be curious, explore, experiment and discover the world around them.
I believe that every child is unique, capable and full of potential. Each child brings their own individual strengths, interests, personality and experiences, and I believe it is my role to recognise and celebrate these qualities. I aim to nurture each child's confidence, independence and curiosity while supporting them to develop at their own pace.
Most importantly, I want to be an educator who builds strong relationships, listens to children, celebrates their achievements and encourages them to believe in themselves. My goal is to provide children with the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to grow, thrive and become the very best version of themselves.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LAKEVIEW
A place to belong.
I have always viewed Lakeview Preschool as an extension of my own home—a place that welcomes you with warmth, wraps you in a hug, and makes you feel safe, valued, and cared for from the moment you walk through the door.
For the past nine years, I have been incredibly fortunate to be part of such an exceptional workplace and to work alongside a passionate and dedicated team of educators. My connection to Lakeview is also deeply personal, as both of my daughters attended the preschool during their early years. It has been a privilege to watch them learn, grow, develop their confidence and independence, and create beautiful memories through play in an environment that felt like a second home.
My experiences as both an educator and a parent have strengthened my belief that the early years are incredibly important in shaping a child’s sense of self, belonging and love of learning. I believe that every day presents an opportunity to learn something new, grow together and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
For me, Lakeview is so much more than a preschool. It is a community—a place built on relationships, trust, connection and belonging. I feel incredibly proud to have been part of that community for the past nine years, and I look forward to continuing to contribute, grow and make a positive difference in the lives of the children, families and wider Lakeview community.
